After i purchase, How does
it work ?
After your purchase, you and
your designer will either start working
on your website right away or schedule
a time for your design consultation.
If you choose to have your
consultation at that time, you will
have a one-on-one consultation
over the phone with your design team
for them to learn about your business
and begin working on your website.
This call lasts about an hour. Yerrex.com
will also send you a design
questionnaire. This document will help
us determine what needs and desire's
you have, plus all your specific
design requests.
You submit our questionnaire
along with your web site content elements
(images, text, logos, keywords, descriptions,
fonts, etc) Our design and development
teams use this information to build
your web site.
Robert
will create your website and then incorporate
your web site content. Each design style
will be tailor made to your specifications.
Images, colours, fonts and
content placement will all
be modified to ensure the design
meets your exact specifics.
You can monitor the progress of
your web site design in real-time as
our team will upload all graphic and
text changes directly to your site. Upon
completion of your project, our team
will notify you that your project is
complete and forward you a customer satisfaction
survey requesting any feedback that you'd
like to provide to us.
Once the site is designed you
will have the opportunity to make 2 round
of changes prior to your site being
published. After your design team has
made all of the changes you have requested
and received your approval we will
publish the website.
How fast will my site get online?
Each site is different in terms of complexity,
amount of content integration and design
requests. There is no definitive timetable
for completion. However, we have found
that customers who speak with their design
team shortly after purchasing their package
typically see their site go live within
10 to 14 business days.
When will I get to speak with a
designer?
You can speak to Robert immediately
after purchase.
Why do you need to confirm my identity?
There are a few instances in which we will
need to authenticate your identity. This
is a safeguard to help prevent instances
of fraud, identity theft, and other hazards
to your business venture. Authorization
takes place when: you forget your Account
Manager username or password, you request
to purchase additional services, inquire
about information specific to your website,
etc.
Content for your Site
What do you need from me to complete
my site?
We will work with what content you provide
to create your website. All images, site text,
logos, keywords, descriptions,
fonts, objects or any web site elements
will be provided by you the client. It is recommended
you have two of your favourite sites, two
of your competitors' sites and what colours
you feel your website should be.
What if i cannot provide the web site content.
Can you produce my content?
If you cannot provide content (images/text/objects/etc)

will gather all the content for your web site.
Under your recommendations we shall find all
necessary images and shall process them - this
includes on site time, editing and prep, rendering
in .jpg and/or .gif., image enhancement and
optimization. We will provide the site copy
writing that explains your business, approx
400 words per page. Yerrex.com will find and
develop all programming elements required and
will implement them into the design.
My Portfolio Special Package relies on you
the client to provide all content. Gathering
and developing web site content is a very time
consuming task. This type of development can
double the time it takes to build a website.
Thus we have to charge.

will require an additional
$1000 on
top of package purchase price to find, gather,
write, edit, render, program and develop your
web site content (images, copy writing, keywords,
descriptions, fonts, objects,
elements) for your web design.
What should I do if I don't know
what I want to do with my site?
We recommend researching online at similar
sites in your industry. This can be a starting
point to writing your content for each
of your pages.
What if I don't know what pages
I want to have?
Although we provide *** gathering content
services, your site will be published much
quicker if you have most of the content completed.
We recommend that your text content
for each page is no longer than 400 words.

Another good way to determine
which pages you would like is to research
other web sites in your industry and

How much content should be submitted?
Although we provide *** copy
writing content services, your site will
be published much quicker if you have most
of the content completed. Most typical
web pages contain up to 400 words. People
read much slower online, so we recommend
that you do not put too much content (over
400 words) on one page. Depending on what
page you are working on, it is usually
a good rule to be to the point and succinct
in your content and avoid unnecessary "filler" text.
What if I have some content, like
a brochure or a power point presentation,
but I don't know if it is enough or how
to divide it into separate pages?
We can help you to integrate that content.
If you would like to mail or fax us your
brochures, please feel free to send it
to us.
What if I have a lot of files to
send you?
We suggest that you send a compressed or
zip file. To do this, put all of your files
in a folder on your computer. Then right
click on that folder, go to "send to" and
select
"compressed file" or "zip". Your files
will now appear as a second folder that
is compressed. Upload this folder the same
way that you would upload a regular file.
What types of files do you accept
to upload?
.doc, .jpg, .psd, .gif, .eps, .pdf, .pict,
.png, .bmp, .tiff, .txt, .ai
Can you just take my content from
my old site?
If you currently have a site, please do
your best to advise which content we should
use for your new site. We generally will
not combine pages from your existing site
though, so, if you would like to condense
your already existing 10 page site into
5 pages, then you will need to combine
this content and send it to us.
I do not have any images for my
company but I want some on my site. What
should I do?
You can purchase photos online, You can
use royalty free photos, There are many
many web sites online that you can find
images suitable for the task. *** Our
web designers have an internal stock photo
gallery at their disposal with thousands
of images. They are often able to find
great pictures that will fit the feel of
your site.
The Design Phase
How do I contact my designer?
Either reply to emails sent to you by Robert or call 1-416-638-2736 and for
the name of your designer in the
Web Site Department.
How can I view my web site design
as it is in progress?
We place your designs in a directory on
your web server so you can view the final
product before it goes live. It can be
found at www.yourdomainname.com/staging/
during the final stages of the design process.
Can I change content during the
design phase?
No. All content changes must be made before
the Design Phase or after the Design Phase.
It is easy to make content changes after
the site is published. Or, you can choose
a monthly maintenance service to make
changes to your content after your website
is live.
Can I add an additional page?
Yes, additional pages cost $50hr of development.
Do I review my Search Engine goals
with my designer?
If you have already selected
appropriate keywords for your site and
alt tags for your images, you may provide
these for your designer to include on
your site.
When choosing a design style,
will I have to use the image featured,
or can I change it?
You can use any picture you want on your
design, but the image you choose will be
in that particular spot, and will be that
particular size on every page of the website.
Images can be moved and changed, and our
designers can work one-on-one with you
to make sure you are satisfied.
Can the design vary from page to
page?
Yes, The overall design can change from
page to page.
What if I want to change the design
of my package later?
You can modify your design using our monthly
modifications service. Or you can do it
yourself.

Can you build a chat room on my
website?
Yes, you may have a message board,
where visitors can post their comments
and questions, but it is not interactive
in real time. Additional
Charges will apply.
Can I put a shopping cart on my
Website?
Yes, Web sites are more geared
towards ecommerce. If you would
like a shopping cart, please contact us. Additional
Charges will apply.
Do web sites have log
in or database capabilities?
Yes, at this point in time,
we do offer the software capabilities
of intense database searches that are found
in real estate sites, social networking
sites, etc. Additional
Charges will apply.
Can I put a movie on my site?
Yes, We are able to accept already made
multimedia files and place them on your
site for you. NOTE: We don't make the movie
for you.
Can I have video or audio on my
web site?
We can if they are in the following file
types: .mov, .mpeg, .avi, .mp3, .ra, .rm,
.wav, .wmv.
Will people be able to search with-in
my site?
This functionality option is not currently
available with the Special Package, but
it is with the Custom Site. Additional
Charges will apply.
Can I have a Flash landing page
/ Flash intro to my site?
With the My Portfolio Special Package,
we are able to add a Flash landing
page. Additional
Charges will apply. Some design styles
come with Flash included. Design Styles
on Style's page marked TF000 will have
flash included with each package.
Can someone write my content for
me?
Yes, if you do not have the time or ability
to write the level of text you would like
to appear on your website, we will be happy
to write original content for you. You
will still be able to make any changes
to the text as you see fit. Additional
Charges will apply.
Can I sell things on my site?
Yes, you can sell items, we recommend
PayPal. If you want a full-blown online
store, which includes shopping cart software,
then you're looking for E-Commerce
web design.
What is PayPalฎ?
PayPal is a way of sending and receiving
money over the Internet. This is the method
in which you will collect payments from
your customers. For more information, visit http://www.paypal.com/
Does the website allow PayPal setup?
Yes, but the client needs to setup an account
on PayPal and would have to provide all
the product data (product description,
ID, price, shipping price, handling price).
Can I place banner advertisements
on my site?
Depends on the how the advertisement is
coded. If there is a specific company that
could be used as a reference, the designer
will be able to tell if it is possible.

Will I be able to see my site on
Yahoo! or Google?
The search engines like Yahoo! and Google
must first find your site and index (review)
your pages in order for you to appear.
There are also many other factors that
contribute to your rankings with search

Will you be entering the Meta tags
and keywords?
Yes, provide your designer with
your alt tags and keywords, they will put
them on your site for you. If you are unsure

Can I password protect my page(s)/Site?
The Special Package does allow you
to password protect your site or
your pages. Additional Charges will apply.
Can I add a "counter" to my website?
Yes. Your designer may add it during the
Design Phase or you may use your Modifications
time to add it. Additional
Charges may apply.
I want to add a custom contact
form to the site that has check boxes and
drop down menus. Is this something that
can be done?
Yes. Your designer may add it during the
Design Phase or you may use your Modifications
time to add it.
Do you provide hosting services
in addition to designing web sites?
Yes, We can provide hosting and domain
name registration if required.
Maintenance / Making Updates
How easy is it to update my content?
Our maintenance service
is extremely user friendly. And while you
will have 30-60 minutes of modification
time each month where a designer will update
your site, you can make changes at any
time.
Can I update my site using Dreamweaver,
InDesign, or other WYSIWYGS?
You are able to make changes using
the software mentioned above, as long as
you make associate a custom. HTML tag with
it.
How easy is it for me to change
content on my web site after I
purchase it and it is completed/published?
It is fairly easy, You are able to
make changes using the software mentioned
above, as long as you make associate a
custom .HTML tag with it.
If I don't feel like editing my
content, can't the person who designed
my site edit it for me?
Yes, your designer can make adjustments
for you. You can purchase our monthly modification
service and we can edit content for you.
Our Maintenance Special Package
5 hours of included modifications time
a month, $250; in the Custom package you
receive 10 hours of modification time a
month, $500; You can purchase more time
if needed.
Cancellation Questions
If I choose to cancel my service
with Yerrex.com, can I take my design
elsewhere?
Yes, you may carry your
design to another hosting company.
Other options are available; please ask
to talk to a design professional for the
latest details.

I just don't have any time to find
the content for my website.
If you do not have the time to look around
finding the the web site content you would
like to appear on your web site, we can
find or create it all for you .You will
still be able to make any changes to the
content as you see fit. *** Additional

I want database capability for
my website.
Yes, we do offer DB functionality
for this package website at this time.
We recommend that if the website are primarily
used as an informational site, that the
first step is to design a website that
fits your goals and then add the database
capability once you have a website design
that you are satisfied with. Additional
Charges will apply.
I want my website to be dynamic
and with moving animation. (Flash website)
What we do recommend is having flash components
for example in the navigation
If you already have a flash component,
we can easily integrate that into the website.
Another important fact about flash to remember
is that flash usually takes longer
to download and that can affect viewers'
experience negatively. Additional
Charges will apply.
This design process is taking too
much of my time.
Our designers can offer a fast website
design with very little interaction with
the customer. They would just need to ask
you some general questions about what your
desires - the colour, layout. This will
only take a few minutes for our designers
to gather the important details of your
website to start design.
I don't think that I need the monthly
maintenance.
Ok, Maintenance is a optional fee paid
monthly to keep your site updated with
new content that you provide. Most good
web sites have new content updated regularly.
Fresh content is what will keep your visitors
coming back.
The design process is too long
- I need my website now.
We understand your desire to have a completed
website as fast as possible. The time to
complete this website is dependent on the
customer working with the designer. The
more effort you put into the coordination
with the designer, the faster the designer
can complete the website.
